ELGIN – Graveside service for Richard Roy “Ricky” Peake, 58, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Dixon and the Rev. Ken Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Peake died Saturday, August 13, 2011. Born in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of Lois Spradley Peake and the late LeRoy Peake. He was a self employed painter and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his children, Anna Peake of Elgin, and Jackie Peake of Elgin; mother, Lois Peake of Elgin; brother, Michael Peake of Elgin; and sisters, Clara Rose of Elgin, Virgie Brazell of Elgin, Sara Hunter of Cassatt, and Gwen LeGrand of Kershaw. He was predeceased by brothers, Alfred Peake and Jackie Peake.
