CAMDEN – Funeral service for Katherine Rae Slaughter, 58, will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Lugoff First Baptist Church. The Rev. Greg Sweet will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County or the Kathy Slaughter Fund c/o Lugoff First Baptist Church. Mrs. Slaughter died Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Born in Jackson, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Lois Corwin Rogers. She owned and operated Sin-Sational Sandwiches in downtown Camden and was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and also traveling. Surviving are her husband, Steve Slaughter; sons, Jacob Slaughter (Laurie) of Elgin, and Eric Slaughter of Portland, OR.; daughter Paige Slaughter of Columbia; grandchildren, Zachary and Emma Slaughter; and brothers, Kerry Rogers (Sherri) of Grand Rapids, MI., Cory Rogers (Diane) of Indianapolis, IN., and Kendal Rogers (Cindi) of Indianapolis, IN.
