LUGOFF – Funeral service for Hollis “House Cat” Scott, 66, will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Charles Davis will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Matthews Baptist Church. Mr. Scott died Saturday July 2, 2011. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late David and Elease Bennett Scott. He worked many years with Standard, later to retire from Kenco Logistic Services. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. Surviving are his wife, Georgiana Harris Scott; daughter and son-in-law, Stacie Michelle and Gerald McGee of Lugoff; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Shanene Scott of Columbia; sister, Betty Lois Thomas; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
