ELGIN – A celebration of Life Service for William “Bill” Patton, Jr., 57, will be held Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Patton died Thursday, June 16, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Earline Dawkins Moyer and the late William Patton Sr. He enjoyed working on cars, and racing and served as a volunteer fire fighter for over 20 years. Surviving are his mother, Earline D. Moyer; children, William Eugene Patton (Michelle) of Elgin, Angie Patton (Robert Kennedy) of Elgin, and John Patton (Sharon) of Florence; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and 5 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother.
