LUGOFF – Funeral service for Aaron Eugene Barnhardt, 55, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Marc Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Tri-County. Mr. Barnhardt died Monday, May 30, 2011. Born in Mooresville, N.C., he was a son of Eugene Clayton Barnhardt and Phyllis Ann Howie Fowler. He retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, computers, and movies. Surviving are his wife, Julia Ellen Witherspoon Barnhardt; father and mother, Eugene and Mary Ann Barnhardt of Concord, N.C.; sons, Benjamin Steven Barnhardt of Osan Air Force Base, Korea, and Jason Daniel Barnhardt of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Brian Barnhardt (Mary) of Monroe, N.C.; and step-sister, Sharlene Jeanette Smith.
