LUGOFF - A memorial service for Karen Pinkard Owens, 47, will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Owens died Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin E. and Carol Bennett Pinkard. She was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her son, Johnnie William Owens of Lugoff; daughter, Heather Ann Owens of Lugoff; granddaughter, Hannah Claire Locklear of Lugoff; sister, Barbara Downey and her husband, Bobby of Camden; brother, William Pinkard and his wife, Sheryl of Bradenton, Fla.; and a brother-in-law, Joe Ratcliffe. She was predeceased by a sister, Kathy Ratcliffe.
