Obituary of Doris E. Williams
ELGIN – Funeral service for Doris Elaine Williams, 63, will be held Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to SCOA Cares Foundation, PO Box 2046, West Columbia, SC 29171.
Ms. Williams died Monday, May 9, 2011. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Herbert and Mae Ruth Hare Branham. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting and caring for her dogs.
Surviving are her daughters, Melissa S. Emmons (Clif) of Elgin and Tammie Lynn Brazell Goad (Ronald) of Perry, Ga.; son, John Brazell (Angelia) of Lexington; sister, Patricia Miles (Knolton) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Liz Emmons, Emily Emmons, Tiffanie Goad, Jacob Goad, Hannah Goad, James Brazell, Christopher Holladay Brazell, Matthew Holladay Brazell and great-granddaughter, Lilly Mae Emmons.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. Baldwin and staff at SCOA, and the staff at Palmetto Health Richland Ministry and Oncology Floor for their loving care.
