LUGOFF – A celebration of Life service for James Auther Boulware, 71, will be held Sunday, May 8, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Douglas Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Boulware died Friday, May 6, 2011. Born in Charleston, S.C., he was a son of the late Robert Merrill and Corrine Flickner Boulware. He was a heavy machine operator which he enjoyed also as a hobby and enjoyed caring for animals. Surviving are his wife Zelma Marlene Timmons Boulware; daughter, Gail Ford (Wayne); son, James A. “Wimpy” Boulware (Sheila) of Lugoff; step-daughter, Peggy Spires (Terry) of South Congaree; step-sons, George M. Taylor of West Columbia, and Richard Taylor of Lugoff; sisters, Ruth Kiegans, Helen Jacobs, and Linda Rubner; brothers, Mike Boulware, Bob Boulware, Craig Boulware; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Cynthia Boulware, Barbara Boulware, and Joyce Boulware.
