LUGOFF - Funeral service for Genevieve Galloway Jay, 82, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Mausoleum, Camden. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kershaw County, 2001 West DeKalb Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Jay, wife of the late Ruben Harlan Jay, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Born in Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Viola Amerson Galloway. She was a charter member of Lugoff Friendship Baptist Church and was a former member of the Wateree Mothers Club. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and taking care of her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Patricia Belk and her husband, Leroy of Lugoff, Ruben Jay, Jr. and his wife, Millie of Lugoff, Richard Jay his wife, Minerva of Lugoff, Randy Jay and his wife, Debi of Lugoff, and Bill Jay and his wife, Pam of Wake Forest; sister, Marie Dodge; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Sallie Nelson.
