DAISY HAYNES ELGIN – Funeral service for Daisy Lee Lovett Haynes, 75, will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mrs. Haynes died Sunday, March 27, 2011. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Lovett and Mattie Pleasant Lovett. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, fishing, and gardening. Surviving are her daughter, Vivian Stewart Rodgers (William) of Cassatt; sons, Roger Stewart of Elgin and Penny Haynes of Elgin; brother, Charles “Penny” Aiken of Greenville, S.C.; sister, Mary Alice Beasley of Hopkins; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Chuck Holley. She was predeceased by a son, Johnny Haynes.
