CAMDEN – Funeral service for Tracy Calhoun Thompson, 52, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in DeKalb Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Thompson died Friday, March 18, 2011. Born in New Haven, Conn., he was a son of Betty Jean Thompson and the late Marvin G. Thompson. He was a member of Chapel of Jesus of St. Paul’s, N.C. He was a musician and enjoyed writing music. Surviving are his wife, Colleen A. Thompson; his mother, Betty Thompson of Camden; children, Daniel Thompson, Kelley Thompson, and Trista Thompson; step children, Jim Hopkins and Matt Hopkins; sisters, Joyce Carpenter, Jean Tidwell, Janice baker, and Kimberly Owens; brother, Roger Thompson, and Marvin “Boddie” Thompson; and 5 grandchildren.
