BLYTHEWOOD – A memorial service for Richard Grant Moyer, 62, will be held Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hidden Wounds, 4840 Forest Drive Suite 6B #317, Columbia, S.C. 29206. Mr. Moyer died Monday, March 7, 2011. Born in Hartsville, he was a son of Olivia Mozingo Moyer and the late Richard Paul Moyer. A Vietnam veteran, he served in the United States Army and retired from the civil service. He was a passionate outdoorsman who loved fishing and traveling. Surviving are his mother of Blythewood; daughter, Kelli Moyer of Lugoff; step-daughter, Melissa Miller (Aaron) of Elgin; brothers, John P. Moyer (Karen) and Karl E. Moyer; sister, Kathy McLendon (Jamey); and companion, Kathryn Vernon of Lugoff. He was predeceased by a brother, Matthew Moyer.
