CAMDEN – Graveside service for Dixie Dean Weir, 93, resident of Pinedale Assisted Living, formerly of Springhill, Kan., will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, Kan. Rev. Laurie Johnston will officiate. Mrs. Weir, wife of the late Shirley D. Weir, died Monday, February 28, 2011. Born in Warrensburg, Mo., she was a daughter of the late William and Dovie Marr Garrett. She enjoyed reading and was a former owner of a bookstore. Surviving are her nephews, Bill Simon of Bishopville and C.G. Weir of Springhill, Kan.; niece, Dixie Ann Wilson of Camden; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Willard Trailor; brother, William Garrett II; and niece, Anna Bell Simon.
