CAMDEN- Funeral services for Peggy Evans Branham, 89, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Atkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund. Ms. Branham, wife of the late Carl Voyin Branham Sr., died Wednesday February 23, 2011. Born in Anderson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Luther Claude and Bessie Scott Evans. She worked for Wal-Mart and also operated a daycare in her home for 29 years. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and the Ladies’ Auxiliary. She is survived by sons, Maxcy Olivio Branham (Judy) of Basom, N.Y., William Grayson Branham (Lois) of Camden, S.C., Mark Kevin Branham (Carla) of Richmond, Va.; daughters, Nancy Branham Gray (Jerry) of Camden, S.C., Terri Branham Holland (Glenn) of Simpsonville, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Carl Voyin Branham Jr., and Charles Lavern Branham; brother, Clyde Jack Evans; and a sister, Mable Nina Dixon.
