LUGOFF – Funeral service for Leonard Allen Proctor Jr., 70, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Worship Center with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to New Life Christian Outreach Building Fund or a charity of one’s choice. Mr. Proctor died Friday, February 18, 2011. Born in Winnsboro, he was a son of the late Leonard Allen Proctor Sr. and Ruby Pearl Cameron Proctor. He served in the U.S. Navy and retired from DuPont. He was currently employed with Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Proctor was a member of New Life Christian Outreach Church, Lugoff and served as the Building Committee Chairman. He was a former member of Bethel Worship Center, Camden where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Building Committee Chairman. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jane Goude Proctor; sons, Derrick Proctor (Rhoda) and Javin Proctor (Jenny), all of Lugoff; sister, Pansy Bell (Edgar) of Lugoff; sister-in-law, Barbara Proctor of Fort Mill; grandchildren, Jonathan Proctor, Brice Proctor, Megan Proctor, Gretchen Proctor, Griffin Proctor, and Grayson Proctor. He was predeceased by a son, Van Proctor; and a brother, Johnny Proctor.
