LUGOFF – Funeral service for Julia James Frierson, 52, will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery, Lugoff. Rev. Richard Cameron will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Mrs. Frierson, wife of the late Rick Frierson, died Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie and Julia Cook James. She enjoyed music and loved playing with her dog “Tony Bone”. Surviving are her son, Justin Jackson of Columbia; daughter, Jennifer Leigh Jackson of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Jacob Philip Jackson, Matthew James Jackson, and Marilyn Josephine Jackson. She was predeceased by a sister, Linda James; and granddaughter, Victoria Elizabeth Jackson.
