Obituary of Edna E. Quinlan

LUGOFF – Christian Wake service for Edna E. Quinlan, 89, formerly of Springfield, Mass., will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Brookfield, Mass. with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mrs. Quinlan, wife of the late Bernard G. Quinlan, died Friday, January 14, 2011. Born in Glen Sutton, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Lucius Azro and Louise DeLisle Woodworth. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield, Mass. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbia, S.C. and St. Catherine of Siena in Springfield, Mass. She was an avid Red Sox baseball fan. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard and Jeani Quinlan of Sparks, Nev., and Gary C. and Claudia Quinlan of Lugoff; grandchildren, Eugene Quinlan of Mass., Eric Quinlan of Lugoff, S.C., Lee Gunter of Lugoff, S.C., and Melissa Soto of Mass.; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Victor Woodworth; and sisters, Iva Woodworth and Rose DeSimone.
