Obituary of Phyllis Quilter

LUGOFF - A celebration of the life of Phyllis Quilter will be held during the 11:00 a.m worship Service on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church or Community Medical Clinic of Kershaw County. Mrs. Quilter, wife of the late George Quilter, died Thursday, June 28, 2007. Born in Croydon, Surrey, England, she was the daughter of the late Richard Henchley and Rebecca Scarborough Pickering. She was a nurse and retired from the Pennsylvania Association of Retarded Children. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching and was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Margaret and Dr. Elwyn Roberts of Lugoff, and Janet Beryl and Peter Swanton of Sittingbourne, Kent England; and grandchildren, Dr. Craig T. Roberts of Gainesville, Fla., Natalie Roberts of Columbia, Sharon Worley and hers husband, Shaun of Aiken, Wayne Swanton and Jessica of Chicago, Ill., and Victoria Swanton of Chelmsford, Essex England.
