RIDGEWAY – Funeral service for William Edward “Bill” Lincoln, 54, will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Evan Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 -7:00 p.m. prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Lincoln, husband of the late Betty Faye Lincoln, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Born in Savannah, Ga., he was a son of the late Edward Arthur and Georgia Frances McBain Lincoln. He was a former Deputy with Bryan County Sheriff Department, Bryan County, Ga.. He was a member of Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church where he loved being involved in the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and guns. Surviving are his cousins, Jim and Pat Elders of Lake Wateree. He was predeceased by a sister, Gwendolyn Farrar.
