I am very sorry to learn of Benjie's passing. He was a friend of my youth, and those friends leave deep impressions, even when time passes and we move in different directions,
We were good friends back in the early 1970s, and I recall his big smile and our interesting discussions. I saw him at a United Way fundraising event perhaps seven or eight years or so ago, and we were both volunteering and had a chance to visit and catch up, and I am so glad we had that time together.
Blest be the ties that bind.
