KERSHAW – Funeral service for James Elwood Boone, 77, will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Donnie Barrett and Rev. Esau Tention will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The House of Prayer with Open Arms, 3127 Old Georgetown Rd West, Kershaw, SC 29067. Mr. Boone died October 11, 2012. Born in Kershaw County, he was the son of the late Wesley and Blanch Boone. He was a member of Refuge Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Rosie Ann Chaney Boone; son, James “Jimmy” Boone (Crystal) of Kershaw; grandson, Zack Wright; sister, Thelma Barfield; brothers, Marion Boone (Elise), Howard Boone, and Ralph Boone (Becky). He is predeceased by a daughter, Michaele Kingger; brothers, Grady Boone, Alton Boone; a half-sister, Lee Bass; and a grandson, Dylan Boone.
