When I think of Charlie, I always see him as a terrific soldier in Vietnam. It was so great to see him at the Reunion in Reno. There is no proper way to say a final airborne to a trooper like Charlie. On the Airborne Press website, we are putting together some tributes to Charlie.
Charlie, here's your final jump command: "stand up, hook up, shuffle to the door. Jump right out and count to four.
Your soft landing has already happened. God bless you on your journey. Airborne, Charlie!!

Belinda,
I am so sorry about your loss. I just learned about Pee Wee's death this morning. Charles was the life of the party in elementary school and always knew how to get people to laugh. I lost contact with him over the years but will always remember our childhood years at Ashwood-Central.
You'll be in my prayers. I've got great memories of all your family.
Sincerely,
Lawrence Chewning

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Death is an enemy to us all. It is especially an enemy when it strike someone dear to us. God is more powerful than death, and he promise to get rid of this enemy once and for all. The Bible teaches: "As the last enemy, death will be brought to nothing." (1Corinthians 15:26) Then the words of Jesus found at John 5:28 will be fulfilled that reads: "Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and come forth." I hope these words will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.

Belinda we know you are hurting deep in your heart, because that's what has happened to us. He was of small stature, but he was a big, big man, he loved and took very good care of his family and friends. And he was liked by anyone who knew him, I am so lucky that the last time i got to see him I hugged him, told him what a good friend he was to have and I told him how much he meant to me and I loved him. He made going to work with him something to look forward to. I worked side by side with for about 15 years, and he worked hard beleive me. Even when he was off work he was working on the lakehouse or something, I will miss my PeeWee and it will be difficult to go on without him. But let me say this, I have a feeling he has already made it back to the lake and is having a ball, just waiting for all y'all to get back home, he loved that lake, and I know we all love him.
Please accept my sincere condolances,
Scooter & Clyde Mc
