BETHUNE - Funeral service for Miriam O. Jenkins, 78, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Bethune Baptist Church with burial to follow in Bethune Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Allen McClellan will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Bethune Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins died Monday, August 16, 2010. Born in Bethune, she was a daughter of the late John Hilton and Essie Lee Melton Outen. She retired from Kendall Inc and was a member of Bethune Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons, Kenny R. Moser and Gregory Dean Moser of Bethune; daughters, Pamela Nesbitt (Thomas) of Camden, Susan Smith of Statesville, N.C., and Lisa Marie Helwagen of Myrtle Beach; brother, John Outen (Mary L.) of Bethune; sister, Mary Eagan (Lynn) of Collierville, Tenn.; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
