LUGOFF - Memorial service for Edward Lee “Tony” Ray, 76, will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Ray, husband of the late Esther Ray, died Monday, July 19, 2010. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late George and Mary Jackson Ray. He was a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church. Surviving are his children, Anthony Lee Ray of Lugoff, Boyd Del Ray (Laura) of Meriden, Kan., Carroll Ray of Lugoff, and Janice Mattox (Johnny) Lugoff; sisters, Doris LaMountain of Topeka, Kan., and Jean Marsh of Florence; and 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Darrell Ray; brothers, Johnny Ray, Ralph Ray, Alvin Ray, Sammie Ray, and Stanley Ray; and sister, Thelma Ray, Catherine Ray, and Barbara Ray.
