CAMDEN – Funeral Services for James Preston “Foots” Hasty, 74, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Trent McLaghlin and The Rev. Jeff Grubbs will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Hasty, husband of the late Pasty Myers Hasty, passed away Tuesday, June 04, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Edward and Creola Case Hasty. Mr. Hasty was a member of Lakeshore Drive Church of God and served as an Umpire for the Recreation Department for 38 years, and also pulled the chains for the Camden Bulldogs for 40 years. He retired from DuPont, and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his fiancée, Mary Truesdale of Camden, stepson, Rick Truesdale (April) of Camden, grandchildren, Chase, Peyton, and Greenly Truesdale; and loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife; son, Lavern Hasty; and a sister, Elaine Hasty. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Cindy and all the staff at Agape Hospice of Camden.
