Obituary of Bill Branham

ELGIN - Funeral service for William Talmadge “Bill” Branham, will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Dr. Dan Griffin will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, and other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Branham, 1032 Tookiedoo Lane, Elgin. Mr. Branham died Sunday, April 18, 2010. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Dewitt Talmadge and Roxie Peake Branham. He retired from Monofilament Division of the Shakespeare Company. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Survived by his brothers, James Murdic (Evelyn) Branham, Gordon Truett (Mary) Branham, and Caliph “Sam” (Brenda) Branham; sister, Martha (Alfred) Crumpton; brother-in-law, Herbert Cooper; 16 nieces and nephews; and numerous, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Lila Mae Cooper and Clara Faile Branham.
