CAMDEN - Funeral service for Larry Eugene Hopkins, 62, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Freddie L. Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6-8 pm. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mr. Hopkins, husband of the late Laura Elizabeth Munn Hopkins, died Sunday, April 11, 2010. Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Harold Eugene and Bonnie McGee Hopkins. He retired from the Hermitage Cotton Mill. He enjoyed working on cars and gardening. Surviving are his children, Danny Hopkins (Sherry), Susan Browder, Toronda Hopkins (Mike), Joe Bass (Maxine), Darrell Brannon (Tammy), Terry Baxley (Joey), Teresa Sota, Lori Holland, and Donald Holland (Johnna); brother, Ronnie Hopkins (Eileen); sister, Kathy Darity (Danny); 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
