LUGOFF-Graveside service for Paul Arthur Cameron, Sr, 89, will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Charles Everett and Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mr. Cameron died Sunday, March 28, 2010. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Ada Maude Jones Cameron. He was a logger and farmer and retired from Fluor-Daniels where he was a Carpenter. He was formerly employed with Central Carolina Livestock Market and the United States Postal Service. Mr. Cameron enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising livestock, and singing Folk tunes. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Nettie Mae Kirkland Cameron; daughter, Linda Jean Tetterton of Lugoff; son, Paul Cameron, Jr. and his wife, Myra of Lugoff; grandchildren, Cameron Tetterton, Dr. Hamilton Tetterton and his wife, Stephanie, and Kimberly Cameron Holman and her husband, Chris; and a great-grandson, Cason Holman. He was predeceased by sister, Emily Eller; brothers, Eugene Cameron, Robert Oliver Cameron, John Thomas Cameron, Jr., William Ralph Cameron, and Donald Edwin Cameron; and son-in-law, Samuel Stevenson “Steve” Tetterton.
