LUGOFF - Funeral service for Carma Dawson Grantham, 7 years old, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at El- Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery, Lugoff. Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to National Center on Shaken Baby Syndrome, 2955 Harrison Blvd., Suite 102, Ogden, UT 84405. Carma died Thursday, February 11, 2010. Born in Camden S.C.she was the daughter of Ashley and Christie Holland Grantham. Carma was a very special little girl who caught the hearts of everyone. She fought a long hard battle since being shaken at 4 months old. She will be deeply missed by all. Carma enjoyed listening to music, and loved the sand at the beach. Surviving are her parents of Lugoff; brothers, Cade Grantham (9) and Lake Grantham (4); sisters, Alissa Grantham (10) and Kaitlin Grantham (12); maternal grandmother, Joan Deal of Lugoff; maternal grandfather, Michael Holland of Camden; and paternal grandparents, Belinda and Charles Hayes; great-grandmother, Barbara Abercrombie; great-grandfathers, Carl A. Holland Sr. and Bill Simon; and her caregiver, Momma Berta. She was predeceased by grandfather, Carroll Deal; and great-grandmother, Leslye Boykin. The family expresses their deep appreciation to the many, loyal and faithful family and friends for their support and help with Carma, especially Momma Berta for her dedicated care.
