CAMDEN - Funeral service for James C. Gardner, 71, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Flat Creek Baptist Church, Kershaw. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Mr. Gardner died Saturday April 28, 2007. Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late William Kirby Gardner, Sr. and Martha Carmon Roberts Gardner. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed going to Monday Night Prayer Meeting at House of Prayer with Open Arms Church. He enjoyed fishing and baseball. Surviving are his sons, James D. Gardner, and Scott Gardner and his wife, Brenda; daughter, Donna Gardner Flack and her husband, Herbie; brother, Charles Gardner and Paul Gardner; sisters, Shelby Outen and Ann Lowery; 16 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
