Obituary of Edward Truesdale

CASSATT – A service to celebrate the life of Edward Lewis Truesdale, 61, will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at South Carolina Equine Park, 443 Cleveland School Road, Camden, S.C. The Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Equine Park and on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Carolina High School Rodeo Association. Mr. Truesdale died Saturday, May 25, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of Reba Ogburn Truesdale and the late Sam C. Truesdale Jr. He retired from DuPont and was a member of Freedom Outreach Baptist Church. Mr. Truesdale dedicated his life to High School Rodeo helping kids. He served on the South Carolina High School Rodeo Board of Directors as first vice president and was a member of NRA. Surviving are his wife, Emmie Adele McLaughlin Truesdale; daughters, Charleigh Fundeburk, Rebekah Branham (David) and Monica Polson (Lance); son, J.P. Truesdale (Faith); brothers, Sam C. Truesdale, Jr. (Carolyn), Joey Truedale (Dianne) and Stevie Truesdale (Beth); sister, Judy Hammond (Robbie);and grandchildren, special cowboy Luke Fundeburk, Jayce Fundeburk, Clara Grace Branham, Cauthen Branham, Abby Laine Polson, Laurin Rae Polson, Lawson Polson, Jake Truesdale, AnnElsie Truesdale, and Lucy Truesdale. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Truesdale.
