Ever since I met Winslow-back in 1993ish-through my daughter-Katie L. Allen (died Jan. 26th 2001) I had always considered Winslow to be my son-in-law (though the two never married). I loved him as if he was my "son". I even was able to tell Win' that I loved him a week before he died.. Whenever we (all of us) see the 'dancing' stars in the nightime sky- think of Winslow and Katie 'dancing' together again (in Heaven) --Love and miss you Winslow (and Katie)

I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you. I met Winslow and Katie back when they were expecting Griffin. Winslow was an incredibly deep thinker, and thought about things most people aren't even aware of. After they had Griffin, I would see him and Katie when they came to Nature Day at White Memorial. I believe I only saw him once after Katie died, but did follow articles about his continued reptile work. He was such a complicated and endearing young man, and it was a privledge to know him. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for Griffin now, and I will keep him in my prayers...

As Rusty's Mom, I got to know Winslow. He was a bright, intelligent, compassionate young man, whose flame went out far too soon. He was an important person in Rusty's life long before their marriage. I remember his love for Griffin, and his passion for rescuing reptiles. He was very special. Renee, Guy, Randy, and Valerie, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I had known Winslow for many years, we were even roomates for a time. He was a great friend to me when I need it most, I would not be the person I am today if I hadn't of met him. Unfortunately we tend to lose touch with the ones we care about due to life & how fast it moves along. Winslow was a special person to me, I will always love & miss him. Renee
