Obituary of Harmon Caulder
CAMDEN - Funeral service for Harmon Caulder, 78, will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in Mel’s Chapel Cemetery, Bishopville. Rev. Tim Shirley and Rev. Tony Barnes will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Caulder died Saturday, January 16, 2010. Born in Dillon County, he was a son of the late Norman and Annie F. Oxendine Caulder. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from DuPont and was a member of Lugoff Church of God.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Blanche Owens Caulder; step-children, Joseph D. Baskins, Sharon Diane Skinner, and David Wayne Baskins; brothers, William H. Caulder and Charles Caulder; sister, Evaden Chavis; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ruthie Jane Caulder; two infants that died at birth; step-son, Gary Thomas Baskins; brother, Beauford Caulder; and sisters, Elizabeth Brigman and Annie Catherine Bryant.
