CAMDEN - Funeral service for Catherine Victoria Cobb Vincent, 70, will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Camden First Church of the Nazarene, Camden with burial to follow in Sandy Grove United Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Brent Walker and Rev. Scott Roberts will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Camden First Church of the Nazarene, 2276 Jefferson Davis Highway, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mrs. Vincent, wife of the late Joe Donald Vincent, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2009. Born in Bethune, on July 21, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Clemson Conslow Cobb and Virginia Grace Brannon “Jenny” Cobb. She attended Midway High School and was on the championship basketball team. She retired from DuPont where she was also an EMT. After retiring she moved to Myrtle Beach and worked for Sonrise Christian Book Store. She was a member of Camden First Church of Nazarene, Camden and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. While in good health, she dedicated herself to the work of the Lord. She is survived by her sons, Donald “Donnie” (Tina) Vincent of Camden, Randy Vincent and his fiancée, Jane Baldwin of Murrells Inlet, and Greg (Fran) Vincent of Harrisburg, Pa.; brothers, Ted (Barbara) Cobb of Camden, Ralph (Doris) Cobb of Camden, Roy (Diane) Cobb of Camden, Bernie (Katie) Cobb of Camden, and Dennis (Linda) Cobb Camden; sister, Ruth Branham of Camden; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. The family extends great appreciation to Dr. Terry Smith, special nurses Cathy and Mary at SCOA, and Dr. Tallulah Holmstrom for their loving care.
