COLUMBIA- A memorial service for Charles Martin “Chuck” Georgi, 63, will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Sandhills Community Church. Rev. Jeff Philpot will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Feed The Children, P.O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73101-0036. Mr. Georgi went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, November 15, 2009. Born in Detroit, Mich., he was a son of the late Charles Franz and Margaret Lauer Georgi. He retired from the United States Navy after 25 years having served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He was a lifetime member of D.A.V. and was an avid sports fan and NASCAR fan. Surviving are his wife, Ann Georgi; daughter, Laura Georgi of Huntington, W.V; sons, Ryan Georgi of Norton, Va., and Chad Georgi of Norton, Va.; sisters, Linda Dreisbach, and Judi Szatkowski; and brother, Andrew Georgi.
