CAMDEN - A memorial service for Carl G. Smith Jr., 70, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Ernest Rabon will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Smith, husband of the late Joan Lynch Smith, died Sunday, October 4, 2009. Born in Winston Salem, N.C., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl G. Smith, Sr. Surviving are his daughters, Cindy Parnell and Lisa Kennington, both of Camden; sisters, Carolyn and Helen; grandchildren, Shane Kennington and Tyler Kennington; brothers-in-law, Michael Lynch and his wife, Kathy, and Lou Lynch and his wife, James Ann; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Lynch. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Jimmy Lynch.
