CASSATT-Funeral service for Linda Hudson Newman, 71, will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Harrill Wiggins and Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 2:00 -3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a Hospice of your choice. Mrs. Newman died Thursday, August 13, 2009. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Marion Moody and Vera Lee Hudson. She attended Freedom Outreach Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics. Surviving are her children, Debbie King of Camden, Terry Catoe of Cassatt, Robin Anderson of Cassatt, and Staci Wiggins of China Grove, N.C.; and 7 grandchildren.
