LUGOFF – Funeral service for Carl Isaiah Grandon, 84, will be held Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Atkerson will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Mr. Grandon, husband of the late Betty B. Grandon, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late S.S. and Mary Ladd Grandon. He retired from DuPont after 32 years of service and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family.. Surviving are his sons, Phil Grandon (Donna) of Elgin and Steve Grandon (Kim) of Lugoff; daughters, Ann Anderson (Danny) of Lugoff and Elizabeth Clements (Andy) of Lugoff; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sisters, Ethel Wilson and Juanita Burnette.
