LUGOFF - Funeral service for Clarence Numan Aldrich, 84, will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia. Rev. David Sturgeon will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 2211 Porters Cross Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Aldrich died Wednesday, July 22, 2009. Born in Lugoff, he was a son of the late James Douglas and Mae Bell Kelly Aldrich. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Juanita Koon Aldrich; daughters, Ruth Aldrich Kirkland and her husband, William D. Kirkland, Jr., Myra Aldrich Kirkland and her husband, James E. Kirkland, and Greta Renee Aldrich Anderson and her husband David Lee Anderson, all of Lugoff; brother, Ed Aldrich; sisters, Betty Tucker and Margaret Peace; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Leslie Aldrich, Rembert Aldrich, and Herbert Aldrich; and sisters, Vera Defoe and Mable Aldrich Barfield.
