ELGIN-A time of gathering to remember the life of Bobby Gene Odom, 71, will be held Sunday, May 24, 2009 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Walter Crowe Animal Shelter or a local Humane Society. Mr. Odom died Monday, May 18, 2009. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Leonard Odom and Helen Browder Geddings. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors with his dogs. Surviving are his son, Mitchell Thomas Odom of Columbia; daughter, Bobbie Denise Odom of Camden; step-father, Roland Geddings of Columbia; step-children, Wendy Odom Mynatt, Thomas Marion Odom, and Scott Larry Odom; sister, Katherine Cross; brother, Jerry Odom; grandson, Kurt Odom; and 11 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Don Larry Odom.
