Obituary of Maxine Lillian Cline

IRMO - Funeral service for Maxine Lillian Cline, 82, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff with burial to follow in Sawneys Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Mary Green Kearse and Rev. Evans Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice of the Midlands, 3300 Sunset Blvd Suite 102, West Columbia, S.C. 29169. Mrs. Cline, wife of the late Robert Lee Cline Sr., died Wednesday, April 01, 2009. Born on September 20, 1926 in Charleston, W.V., she was a daughter of the late Alcide and Lillian Marie Barr of Charleston, W.V. She was an employee of Coca-Cola for many years. Her interest included reading, sewing, and loved flowers. Mrs. Cline was involved in many activities with the Jamil Shrine Temple. She attended Sawneys Creek Baptist Church, Ridgeway. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Mickey Dinkins of Blythewood; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Lee “Mike” and Pat Cline of Milledgeville, Ga., and Robert Lee Cline Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister, Patti McIntyre of Phoenix, Ariz.; and beloved grandchildren, Michael Todd Dinkins, Scott Barr Dinkins, Amy Lee and Cassie Cline. She was predeceased by her brother, Bobbie Barr. The family extends their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Heartland of Columbia and Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
