ELGIN-Funeral service for Alexander Richard Fowler, 16, will be held Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Rev. Julie McKay-Wilkinson will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 5-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Lugoff-Elgin Rugby Team, P.O. Box 996, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Alex died Thursday, March 26, 2009. Born in Florence, S.C., he was the son of Kenneth Dwain Fowler, Jr., and Diane Karen Koskinen Fowler. He was a Junior at Lugoff-Elgin High School and played on the Lugoff-Elgin Rugby Team. He worked for Burger King in Lugoff and enjoyed playing music. Surviving are his parents of Elgin; sister, Elizabeth Fowler; brother, Christopher Fowler; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
