ELGIN-Memorial service for Robert Kenneth Post, 71, will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Highway Pentecostal Church. Rev. Paul Miles will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or D.A.V. Mr. Post died Friday, March 20, 2009. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was a son of the late Alvin Donald Post and Frances Roosenberg Post. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church and enjoyed gardening and remodeling. Surviving are his wife, of 12 years, Neecie J. Post; sons, Frank Gannon of Marlboro, N.Y., Raymond Post stationed in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marine Corp, Todd Post of Toledo, Ohio, Joseph (Laura) BovaConti of Marlboro, N.Y., and Scott Post of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Denise (David) Sames of Burnsville, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
