CAMDEN-Funeral service for Charles Dexter Branham, 58, will be held Friday at 4:00 p.m. at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Keith Coates and Rev. Douglas Whitfield will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, S.C. 29078. Mr. Branham died Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Albert Branham, Sr. and Mary Napper Branham. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and attended DeKalb Baptist Church. He was a former volunteer fireman with Lugoff Fire Department. Mr. Branham was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed camping and eating breakfast with his friends at Rabbit’s. Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Margie Ann Boone Branham; daughters, Dawn (Mark) Bowers of Cassatt, and April Branham (Chris) Spear of Lugoff; step-son, Pete Smith of Camden; brothers, Albert Branham, Jr. of Lugoff, and Wayne (Patty) Branham of Lugoff; and 7 grandchildren.
