LUGOFF - Funeral service for George Andrew “Andy” Brazell, 72 will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia. Rev. Wayne Flowers will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mr. Brazell died Saturday, March 7, 2009. Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late George Ollie and Virginia Lee Poe Brazell. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was former owner of Lugoff Heating and Cooling. Mr. Brazell was a member of the American Legion Post 17 and enjoyed restoring cars and gardening. He was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Yvonne Jackson Brazell; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Andrew and Jenette Brazell of Camden; daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn Brazell and Benny Alvin Harris of Camden; sister, Elizabeth Bodie of Martinez, Ga.; brothers, H. Weston Brazell of Edgefield, S.C., and Gary C. Brazell and his wife, Rose of Pelion; and grandchildren, Devin Brazell, Haylianne Brazell, Jessica Harris, and Benny Harris, Jr.
