LUGOFF-Funeral service for Cecil Randolph Shannon, 64, will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday 1:30 – 3:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Shannon died Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late John Henry and Onnie Medlin Shannon. He was avid NASCAR and Clemson Fan. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly R. and Patrick Lyle of Lugoff; and grandchildren, Justin Michael Lyle and Kirkpatrick Lyle II. He was predeceased by brothers, Ernest Otis Shannon and George Taylor Shannon.
