Jon, i love you and i miss you more and more each day, but you already know that because i tell you that every single day. Mr.&Mrs. Hall,Becky& Ben, i know that its extremely tough right now, but you're all aware of what an amazing person your son & brother was so just remember that. Even when he had a bad day, he always smiled, and if anyone else had a bad day, he made them smile. I still smile because of him. In the 20 short years we had Jon, I am so lucky & thankful to even have known him, and to have the opportunity to have him as a friend was the greatest honor ive ever had. I love you Jonathan James, and I love your entire family. Thanks for all the hugs and laughs buddy!

Dale, I am tremendously sorry to hear of your loss. I seems that yesterday we were ourselves playing ball, although 30 years ago! I have a 16 year old son of my own and can relate to the magnitude of mourning that you may feel. I did not hear of Jonathan's passing until my mother informed me this evening. I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you and your family, as only God can give you the strength and comfort to endure.

This past week has been sooo hard, when i'm by myself i just sit and cry until i cant cry anymore.. but if you could have only seen how many people's lives you and your family has touched you would be amazed. I wish you were home, It was only yesterday that i saw you and your mom in San Jose! They raised a great young man, with a great big heart. But, I know you'll be in heaven playing baseball so when you hit a home run. Be sure to hit the ball back home. I'll be sitting outside with a glove on trying to catch it
I love you ! see ya when i get there

It's such a shame to lose a life so sudden. We are both so deeply sorry for you family. Regardless of how things ended with all of us Jon was a great person that had a bright future ahead of him. There is no doubt in my mind that he is free from any pain in heaven right now. I know it must be pretty impossible to see any good right now but just know in your mind that he is in a much better place than you or I right now. You will all be in our prayers.

My heart goes out to COL Hall and his family during this time of great loss. A son is the reflection of those values held dear by parents that raised and nurtured him through all the trials of life. I pray for comfort and strength for the family and happy memories of all the great times they had with Jonathan.
