CAMDEN - Funeral service for Pastor Patsy Jean Myers Hasty,61, will be held Saturday at 11:00 at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Trent McLaughlin and Rev. Burch Kelley will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to Freedom Outreach Baptist Church, 1113 Highway 1 North, Cassatt, S.C. 29032 Pastor Hasty died Thursday, February 5, 2009. Born in Hartsville, S.C. she was a daughter of the late Lawrence M. Myers and Irene Gainey Myers. She was a minister and pastored Christian Fellowship Assembly Church in Hartsville for 5 years and Believers Fellowship Church in Camden for 6 years. She enjoyed singing and ministering to others. She is member of Freedom Outreach Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James P. “Foots” Hasty; and brothers, Lawerence “Sonny” Myers, Ronnie Myers, and Jackie Myers. She was predeceased by a son, Lavern Hasty; brothers, Carmel Myers, and J.C. Myers; and sisters, Myrtle Gallaway, and Kaye Myers.
