LUGOFF - Funeral service for Larry Osment, 47, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Hardshell Cemetery. Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Larry Osment Memorial Fund. Mr. Osment died on December 31, 2008. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Joseph Benjamin Osment and Geraldine Octava Hardin Hinson. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed gardening. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie N. Osment of Gaston; children, Heather “Kandie” Comstock of Lexington, Joann Osment of Elgin, and Ashley Kay Osment of Swansea; step-father, John T. “Shag” Hinson of Lugoff; sister, Jerri Bryant of Walhalla; brothers, Benny Osment of Columbia, John Osment of Jacksonville, Fla., Eugene Osment of Lugoff, and Steve Osment of Lugoff; and 6 grandchildren.
