CAMDEN - Memorial service for Lavern Preston Hasty, 42, will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Freedom Outreach Baptist Church, 1113 Hwy 1 North, Cassatt, S.C. 29032. Mr. Hasty died Monday, January 12, 2009. Born in Camden, he was the son of James Preston and Patsy Jean Myers Hasty. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved sports. He played football and baseball for Camden High School. Surviving are his parents of Camden; uncles, Ronnie Myers, Jackie Myers, and Sonny Myers; and cousins, Darlene Weathers, and Brenda Perry.
